...And I Wish I Had a Microwarpdrive

Some may have noticed I haven't been on much lately. (My corp members always seem so surprised to see me the once in a great while I've logged onto ventrillo the last couple of weeks.) This is largely due to RL elite certification receiving (ie graduation from college) and going 50 jumps through very laggy gates. (ie: traveling from Missouri to the East Coast and having a crap load of tornadoes following me wherever I go.)

There wasn't a whole lot of traffic along the route, and I'm wondering if this is due to the fact that most of the smart people were staying indoors, camping out in their basements, bathtubs, etc.I was happy to sneak through all the storms without hitting anything major until after the fact, though I amused myself by how much Eve has affected my vocabulary. For instance, when asked how often I stopped and if I was enjoying the trip, my typical response was that I was planning to just 'burn' through to the East Coast. This was met by a lot of blank stares and confused nods.

I laughed out loud when I saw a cop on the side of the road and my immediate thought was "please dont pod me!" I really should get a life.

Needless to say, by about mile 900 I was more then ready for a microwarpdrive. (at the risk of getting CONCORDED or not)

  1. RL is overrated - as long as you don't interpret a red traffic light as "hold and orbit at 1000", you should be fine.
